edible inspiration

Forage, sample & cook!

Please take this opportunity to forage and sample the edible plants along the road, as well as we hope, take some inspiration on ‘growing your own’ – a whole recipe can fit in a pot on your balcony, courtyard or garden!

As the edible trail plants will change with the seasons and throughout the year, we’ve pulled together some current favourites from the trail - recipe pots, unusual species and seasonal delights.

Foraging Tips

1. "If in doubt, leave it out" - never pick and eat plants you are unsure of

2. Please ensure fruits are ripe before consuming

3.  All of the edible plants on the Pavilion Road Trail are marked with a brass QR code in the pot that can be scanned for further information

4. Wash before you eat

5. These plants are edible for humans - please don't let your dogs eat them!
